Lemon Cypress Kokedama
These Lemon Cypress kokedama feature a cultivar of the plant Cupressus macrocarpa with a bright chartreuse leaf coloration and a lovely fragrance. This holiday kokedama is the perfect centerpiece for a holiday tablescape or as a way to cheer you up in the darker winter months. This plant can grow happily as a Kokedama for at least the next year, but you might find that after a growing season it needs more room to grow.
• Light: Bright, indirect light
• Water: When soil at base of plant feels nearly dry, submerge entire moss ball in room temperature water until fully saturated. If left to fully dry out, the plant can survive, but will lose some of its beautiful green foliage.
• Considerations: This plant can grow huge! This kokedama will thrive in your home, but it will eventually need more room to grow--likely after a couple growing seasons. This plant is hardy in USDA Zones 10 - 7 and could eventually be planted outdoors. Or it can be a houseplant, potted into a 6" pot with drainage in a sunny spot in your home. To unwrap the kokedama, cut the fishing line wrapped around the moss, remove the moss layer, and take the root ball out of the fabric liner.
