To make our Philodendron Kokedama, we bind the roots of these vining, easy to care for houseplants in bright green sphagnum moss. Philodendron is a large genus of aroid plants highly prized for their foliage, which varies dramatically in color, size and shape.
Simply translated, kokedama means "moss ball," and these pieces are our take on the traditional Japanese bonsai practice of the same name. Sometimes called string gardens, each piece can sit in a shallow dish or hang with the attached fishing line loop, making them lovely additions to any window or tabletop.
Philodendrons thrive in medium to bright indirect light, and tolerate low light as well. To water, simply soak your kokedama in a sink or basin until thoroughly saturated. Includes detailed care instructions.
We make each piece by hand, choosing from our diverse collection of Philodendron species. The images are intended to show the variety in appearance in these houseplants - feel free to include any preferences with your order. Kokedama Dish sold separately.
Small: 4" - 5" moss ball diameter
Large: 6" - 7" moss ball diameter

I just bought three plants from pistils.... this kokadema, a Calathea white fusion, and prayer plant. All three are beautiful!! They look a little stressed after having been in a box for more than a week, but I think they will bounce back. Can’t wait for this kokadema to grow and trail.
Three plants arrived very well packed and healthy! Thank you.
