Cynanchum marnierianum - Dead Sticks Plant
Cynanchum marnierianum is a strange vining succulent from Madagascar in the same family as Hoya, Ceropegia, Matalea, and Fockea. This plant is also known as Dead Sticks Plant and Bundle of Sticks for obvious reasons. This plant's knobby vines turn brown in bright light when exposed to bright light. This adaptation might help the plant avoid predation in its native environment, as animals and insects think the plant is deadand dry.
• Light: Loves bright indirect or dappled light. Can tolerate medium light conditions.
• Water: Water when soil is mostly or fully dry.
• Considerations: Withhold watering in winter, only allowing the soil to be barely moist.
