Black Walnut Flower Press
Handmade in Portland, Oregon, the Black Walnut Flower Press was inspired by our childhood recollections of gathering and pressing flowers while exploring the Pacific Northwest. We collaborated with a local designer and illustrator to craft our own take on the classic flower press. Engraved with a hand-drawn image of the Northwest Balsamroot, a favorite Columbia Gorge native, the Black Walnut Flower Press is compact enough to take on a day trip, functional for people of all ages, and built to last.
To use, simply place flowers throughout the press between the cardboard inserts and blotter paper sheets, starting at the bottom. Tighten and allow flowers to dry undisturbed for 2-3 weeks.
Each press is handmade from Oregon Black Walnut and patinaed solid brass hardware; variation in appearance may occur. The press is suitable for small to medium-sized flowers and foliage. Includes instructions for use and care.
