Fatsia japonica - Japanese Paperplant
Fatsia japonica is an easy-to-grow evergreen plant that loves bright shade and even moisture. The plant forms a dense bush of beautiful palmate leaves that are reminiscent of other beautiful houseplants, like Anthurium Fingers, Schefflera 'Amate' and mature Syngonium podophyllum. Sometimes called Japanese Paperplant, this versatile plant can be grown indoors as a houseplant, or in the outdoors in a shady spot of the garden, as it is hardy to USDA Zones 8-11.
• Light: Medium to bright indirect light. An Eastern exposure is perfect for this plant.
• Water: Water when the top 1-2" of soil feels dry
• Considerations: If the plant becomes leggy, increase its light. Don't be afraid to pinch back the growth to keep the plant smaller and bushier.
