Philodendron Kokedama

$ 52.00

To make our Philodendron Kokedama, we bind the roots of these vining, easy to care for houseplants in sphagnum moss. Philodendron is a large genus of aroid plants highly prized for their foliage, which varies dramatically in color, size and shape.

Simply translated, kokedama means "moss ball," and these pieces are our take on the traditional Japanese bonsai practice of the same name. Sometimes called string gardens, each piece can sit in a shallow dish or hang with the attached fishing line loop, making them lovely additions to any window or tabletop.

PLANT CARE

• Light: Tolerates low light, but thrives in medium to bright, indirect light
• Water: When soil at base of plant feels barely moist, submerge entire moss ball in room temperature water until fully saturated
• Considerations: Clip back long vines to promote a bushier growth habit. Cuttings can be easily propagated!

WHAT TO EXPECT

We'll make your Kokedama to order. No two pieces are alike, and yours will have its own unique shape, size and personality - expect this natural variation from the photos. Moss ball measures approximately 5" - 6" in diameter.

Feel free to include any preferences with your order, and we'll do our best to accommodate.
