Astrophytum myriostigma - Bishop's Cap

$ 14.00

Astrophytum myriostigma, commonly called “Bishop’s Cap”, is an easy to care for,  spineless cactus, beloved for its star-like shape. In fact, the genus name Astrophytum literally means “star plant,” so-named for young plants' vertically segmented ribs (5 in the case of Bishop's Cap) which make the cactus look just like a star when viewed from above. Like other cacti, it does not ask for much water and thrives even with a very small root system. Eventually dislpaying yellow flowers, slow growth and small size makes this Astrophytum an ideal plant for bright windowsills.

PLANT CARE

• Light: Bright diffused to direct light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Let soil completely dry between waterings
• Considerations: Use a well-draining cactus/succulent soil, and select a planter with drainage
