Were it not for the characteristic star-shaped flowers, you might not even guess Hoya retusa was a Hoya at all! This bizarre little Hoya from India is distinct from just about everything else in the genus. It's elongated, flat and narrow leaves grow in clusters, with a wispy, almost succulent look to them. It makes a perfect choice for a hanging basket, as eventually it will grow long stems that cascade down the sides of the pot.
• Light: Perfect for bright, indirect light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Water when the top 1-2" of soil feels dry to the touch
• Considerations: Use a well-draining soil, and select a planter with drainage. Pet friendly!

I ordered my Hoya Retusa along with another plant from Pistils nursery. They both arrived in great condition. Per instructions, I decided not to repot them right away. It’s been a few days and they are both doing well. Although the stems are short right now, the pot is fairly full. I can't wait until it begins to trail. This was my first purchase from Pistils and I would definitely order from Pistils again!
I had it shipped. It lost a few stems and leaves on the adventure, but I love it and hope that it will start sprouting new foliage soon. Hoyas are wonderful. Thank you.
Arrived in great shape. Well packed. Actually had 3 plants in the pot. My 2nd time ordering and probably won't be my last.
