Stelis hirtzii - Ecuadorian Mistletoe Orchid

Stelis hirtzii is a miniature orchid, closely related to the genus Pleurothallis. The obovate leaves are slightly curled and create beautiful layers of leaves. When this orchid blooms, it often grows 4 to 5 reddish, 3mm-wide flowers on a long inflorescence extending from the rest of the plant.

PLANT CARE

• Light: Bright, indirect light.
• Water: Prefers frequent waterings (every 1-2 days). Soak or heavily mist the mount with room-temperature water.
• Considerations: This plant prefers never to dry out. This orchid is happiest growing in temperatures between 52F and 80F.
