Make Your Own Kokedama: Interactive Online Workshop
Join Pistils staff to learn the art and craft of the Japanese Kokedama -- a traditional bonsai form. Kokedama, simply translated, means "moss ball," and we'll show you how to bind the roots of a houseplant in bright green sheet moss in order to create these unique living sculptures.
In this unique online workshop, we'll go over the ins and outs of Kokedama creation and care, with a detailed, step by step demonstration to show you how to create your own. Build along with us, or watch and learn for later!
Choose an all-inclusive workshop experience, or simply sit back and watch the presentation. Select "Ticket + All-Inclusive Materials Kit" and order by 8/17, and we'll ship your kokedama materials direct to your door! The materials kit includes a "grower's choice" plant that is well suited for a kokedama.
Want to source your own supplies? You'll need: a 4" tropical plant, 1/2 cup akedama clay, sheet moss, fishing line, and a 12" square of reemay cloth.
