Alocasia lauterbachiana - Purple Sword
Alocasia lauterbachiana grows long, lanceolate leaves that are dark green, with undersides that are deep purple. The upright growth pattern makes a tall statement plant that shows off the purple abaxial surfaces. The wavy margins and striking coloration make this Alocasia highly desirable.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright, indirect light
• Water: Water when the top 1-2" of soil feel dry
• Considerations: Use a well-draining, chunky soil mix to promote air circulation to roots. Alocasia need warm temperatures and prefer higher humidity. It's common for these plants to drop leaves; don't worry! They can fully grow back from even leafless corms.
