Aloe vera
Aloe vera is a succulent plant perhaps best known for its medicinal use in treating a wide array of skin conditions. As a houseplant, it's a beautiful and reliable plant that thrives with little care, and rewards the grower with bright green, spotted fleshy leaves that grow in a rosette shape. Place it in a bright windowsill, and your Aloe can grow quite large over the years! And as an added bonus, if you get a burn in the kitchen or on the beach, you can simply prune a lower leaf and make use of the plant's therapeutic gel.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright diffused to direct light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Let soil completely dry between waterings
• Considerations: Use a well-draining cactus/succulent soil, and select a planter with drainage
