Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri'
Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri' is one of the plants often described as an "Asparagus Fern" even though it's not a fern at all. This flowering plant grows delicate, fern-like foliage from long vining stems. We keep one of these plants as a shop plant in our Warehouse location, and give it moderate water and medium, indirect light. We've photographed the mature specimen next to a 4" plant so you can see how large and graceful these feathery plants can get.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Place in medium to bright, indirect light
• Water: Allow to dry slightly between waterings. Water when top half of soil feels dry to the touch, or at first sign of wilt
• Considerations: Technically not a fern, this plant creates longer and longer vining shoots as it matures. Although related to the vegetable asparagus, this ornamental plant is not edible.
