Asparagus plumosus is one of several houseplants commonly called Asparagus Ferns. But despite this common name, it's not a true fern at all. Rather, Asparagus ferns gets this nickname from their plumes of feathery foliage that look like delicate fern fronds. This particular species (sometimes called Asparagus setaceous) is one of our favorites. Its rich dark green color and a distinct appearance make it reminiscent of a walk through a lush northwest forest.

PLANT CARE

• Light: Place in bright, indirect light
• Water: Allow to dry slightly between waterings. Water when first 1-2” of soil feels dry to the touch, or at first sign of wilt
• Considerations: Thrives in high humidity. Yellowing needles that drop typically means the plant needs more light or water
