Begonia pavonina - Peacock Begonia
Begonia pavonina is famous for its iridescent blue leaves. Adapted to growing below the rainforest canopy, the iridescence is the plant's adaptation to keep as much light bouncing in its leaf tissue as possible. While the plant isn't shining bright blue all the time, when the light hits a leaf just right, you can glimpse the reflective phenomenon.

PLANT CARE
• Light: Medium, indirect light
• Water: Allow top 1" of soil to become dry to the touch before watering thoroughly. Take care to water before the plant wilts but avoid overwatering.
• Considerations: Grow in lower light if you want darker, bluer leaves. This plant prefers well-draining soil. Keep clear of drafts.
