Ctenanthe burle-marxii - Fishbone Prayer Plant
Ctenanthe burle-marxii is a compact houseplant that makes a bold tropical statement. Its bright green leaves are striped with alternating lance-shaped bands, and have deep purple undersides and stems. Ctenanthe (along with their close relatives Calatheas and Marantas) are commonly called "Prayer Plants" because their leaves lie flat by day, but fold upwards in the evenings. Ctenanthe burle-marxii is nicknamed the "Fishbone Prayer Plant" due to the unique leaf pattern.
• Light: Medium to bright, indirect light
• Water: Water when the top 1-2" of soil feels dry
• Considerations: High humidity help Fishbone Prayer Plant thrive – mist periodically or set on a pebble tray. Pet friendly!

I ordered a 4” ctenanthe by mail and it arrived in pristine condition and is doing well so far. I love it, and I absolutely recommend Pistils for local and distance purchases.
As usual, I got a healthy, beautiful plant from Pistils! I received a notification that the plant was in stock and placed my order. I received a notice from USPS that my shipment was delayed. I panicked and reached out to Pistils. They assured me that the plant had been watered before it was shipped so it should be fine through the delay. But if the plant was not fine they would help me with trouble shooting or a refund. I have known that I can purchase beautiful, healthy plants from Pistils. Now I know that I can expect to receive great customer service from Pistils too.
