Ctenanthe burle-marxii - Fishbone Prayer Plant
Ctenanthe burle-marxii is a compact houseplant that makes a bold tropical statement. Its bright green leaves are striped with alternating lance-shaped bands, and have deep purple undersides and stems. Ctenanthe (along with their close relatives Calatheas and Marantas) are commonly called "Prayer Plants" because their leaves lie flat by day, but fold upwards in the evenings. Ctenanthe burle-marxii is nicknamed the "Fishbone Prayer Plant" due to the unique leaf pattern.
• Light: Medium to bright, indirect light
• Water: Water when the top 1-2" of soil feels dry
• Considerations: High humidity helps Fishbone Prayer Plant thrive – mist periodically or set on a pebble tray. Pet friendly!

I ordered this over the holidays and even though there was a slight delay the plant arrived in better condition than I had hoped for. It recovered from any stress it had been under from shipping in a matter of hours.
My plant came in very good shape & is doing well.
The plant arrived looking as though it had never been shipped and I had just picked it up from the shop. Perfect packing and a perfect plant. There was no browning at all and it's happy sitting with my other plants. Love Pistils!
