Dockrillia linguiforme Cork Mount
Dockrillia linguiforme (formerly Dendrobium linguiforme) is often called "Tongue Orchid," referring to the thick, oblong leaves that shingle along a tree's bark. Our selection of plants are mounted directly on cork bark, mimicking their natural environment. Because there is no soil or moss keeping the roots moist for longer periods of time, this plant requires more attention than our other cork mounts.
With proper care, this plant will grow a beautiful cluster of small white flowers between winter and spring.
• Light: Bright light, some direct sunlight is okay
• Water: In the summer, thoroughly mist plant every evening. In winter while plant is not actively growing, this orchid prefers to be misted in the morning with less frequency.
• Considerations: This plant can tolerate drought, but it might drop leaves that aren't fully formed if left dry during active growth. Applications of fertilizer through spring and summer can benefit this plant, especially when following the rule "weakly, weekly."
