Dendrobium williamsonii - Bergamot Kiss Orchid
Dendrobium williamsonii is an easy-going orchid for beginners and collectors alike. Striking fragrant flowers have pale white-ish petals with bright orange centers. This orchid is known as a "mass bloomer," because each new cane grows 1 to 6 flowers. The blooms smell slightly spicy and cirtusy, a rewarding experience all around!
• Light: Medium to bright, indirect light.
• Water: Prefers to stay lightly moist through the summer months with frequent waterings (every 1-3 days). Water with heavy misting or soaking in a basin of water for about a minute.
• Considerations: This orchid goes semi-dormant from November to March. During this time, reduce watering fertilizing. Expect some leaves to drop. Flowers emerge from new canes in spring.
