Euphorbia obesa - Baseball Plant
Euphorbia obesa is exactly the kind of oddball plant we love at Pistils. This strange and uncommon succulent is endemic to a small region in South Africa. Sometimes called “Baseball Plant” due to its unique spherical shape and striations, this plant almost went extinct in the wild due to over-collecting. Fortunately, it is now well established in cultivation (though still quite hard to find). These little buttons will enlarge and take on beautiful coloring ranging from green to purple to red.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright diffused to direct light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Let soil completely dry between waterings
• Considerations: Use a well-draining cactus/succulent soil, and select a planter with drainage
