Ficus pumila 'Quercifolia' - String of Frogs

$ 15.00
Ficus pumila ‘Quercifolia’ is often called Miniature Oakleaf Fig for the petite, lobed foliage that closely resembles the leaves of an oak tree. The little leaves also look like squatting frogs, giving it another common name: String of Frogs. This precious creeper is perfect for a humid and bright environment, and makes a spectacular terrarium plant. It has a spreading habit, with fast-growing vines climbing or cascading in all directions. The aerial roots secrete an organic glue that hardens upon drying, allowing the vines to adhere to their support. As with other Ficus, this plant thrives in warm, stable temperatures with good air circulation.

Light: Place in bright, indirect light
Water: Keep evenly moist. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Never let dry out completely.
Considerations: Keep in a warm, humid environment for best growth

Ficus pumila 'Quercifolia' - Miniature Oakleaf Fig

This beautiful little plant was carefully packed and shipped quickly. It arrived in perfect condition, without even one tiny leaf damaged. The Miniature Oakleaf fig plant is now growing so quickly that I have already had to transplant it into a larger pot! So happy that it loves living in Florida!

This ficus pumila is the tiniest I've ever seen these! I've seen small but this is itty-bitty small! Speaking of the leaves of course. I received it in a deep 4" pot almost too big for the tiny leaf plant! The plant itself was reasonably sized, inspite of ...what seemed like an oversized pot. Her home was all ready and set up for her future 30 day repoting, ill have to rethink it now that the pot is bigger than anticipated. I received her with no damage and she is under a glass globe in the original pot for now until she's ready for something more permanent. Overall healthy and happy! Thank you Pistils for another pleasant experience!
