Hemigraphis alternata 'Exotica' - Purple Waffle Plant

Hemigraphis alternata 'Exotica' is a unique houseplant that has intensely dark green leaves with deep purple undersides. The leaves have a crinkled texture similar to a waffle, which is why the plant is also nicknamed the Purple Waffle Plant. A great choice for a terrarium, Hemigraphis species love to stay consistently moist, like its relatives in the family Acanthaceae—Fittonia and Hypoestes. Whether potted in glass or in a traditional planter, Purple Waffle Plant is a striking oddity for any houseplant collection.
