Hoya australis
Hoya australis has broad, ovate, shiny leaves which emerge along wild, winding tendrils. A vigorous grower, we've found this Australia-native to be very easy to grow and happy as a hanging plant or winding up a trellis. Like all Hoyas, the australis has waxy leaves and produces clusters of star-shaped flowers. But unlike all some Hoya, the flowers of Hoya australis – creamy white with burgundy centers – are quite fragrant! A new favorite in the genus.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Perfect for bright, indirect light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Water when the top 1-2" of soil feels dry to the touch
• Considerations: Use a well-draining soil, and select a planter with drainage. Pet friendly! Read our Hoya journal entry for more information.
