Hoya retusa - Grass-Leaved Hoya
Were it not for the characteristic star-shaped flowers, you might not even guess Hoya retusa was a Hoya at all! This bizarre little Hoya from India is distinct from just about everything else in the genus. It's elongated, flat and narrow leaves grow in clusters, with a wispy, almost succulent look to them. It makes a perfect choice for a hanging basket, as it will grow long stems that cascade down the sides of the pot.
• Light: Perfect for bright, indirect light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Water when the top 1-2" of soil feels dry to the touch
• Considerations: Use a well-draining soil, and select a planter with drainage. Pet friendly! Read our Hoya journal entry for more care information.

Happy and Healthy!
It's always a struggle to get plants shipped but Pistils does it right EVERY TIME! Love my new Hoya and so excited to being adding it to my collection.
I love all Hoyas
I love all Hoyas. I plan to use this one in a miniature fairy garden, they require little care and are very sturdy plants. Great for Florida weather. Plants arrive well wrapped and healthy.
This hoya loves the high humidity of my shower window! I discovered this after a two week vacation. Several months in, it’s putting on tons of new growth. Wants a thorough watering 1x week, and possibly more with longer days and more light. The other hoyas sharing the window seem indifferent to the humidity (chelsea and wayetii) though.
