Lithops sp. - Living Stone

$ 8.00
Size

Lithops is one of those plants you simply must see to believe. Nicknamed the "Living Stone" due to their uncanny resemblance to pebbles, these peculiar little succulents are native to southern Africa. These mimicry plants thrive in harsh, compacted soil and can take the full brunt of desert conditions, which means that as houseplants, they're great for small containers and require very little maintenance. As each plant is a little bit different, Lithops is must for your collection of arid oddballs.

PLANT CARE

• Light: Bright diffused to direct light; 4-5 hours of early sun is ideal
• Water: Let soil completely dry between waterings
• Considerations: Use a well-draining cactus/succulent soil, and select a planter with drainage. This plant needs very little water, especially in winter

Living Stone - Adorable Pebble

This was my second purchase from Pistils Nursery and I am once again pleased! There was no damage from shipping and just some minor spillage, which I think is fantastic seeing as this lil guy traveled cross-country. The detailed instructions were much appreciated and cute in their packaging. I enjoyed the element of surprise that came with this plant too - wasn't sure the exact variety I was going to receive but I'm very happy with the gray-pink one I got! Will definitely be ordering again….I say as I’m already waiting on another shipment : )

LITHOPS AKA LIVING STONES

I’ve always wanted lithops but was hesitant to get them. I finally broke down and ordered 3. All three received were different and in good health. I can’t wait to see them grow and possibly flower in the future.
