Mammillaria plumosa - Feather Cactus
Mammillaria plumosa is hands down one of our favorite cacti. Upon seeing it, you'll immediately understand why it's nicknamed the "Feather Cactus" -- its white "feathers" arch into soft, flower-like plumes that cover the sharper spines, both making the plant a wonder to behold and also protecting it from sun and heat. The little yellow flowers that can emerge seasonally are an extra bonus. A must for any arid plant collection.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright diffused to direct light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Let soil completely dry between waterings
• Considerations: Use a well-draining cactus/succulent soil, and select a planter with drainage
