Pleione sp. - Windowsill Orchid
Pleione, often dubbed “Windowsill Orchids,” are versatile plants native to SE Asia. These plants are grown for their extravagant, low-to-the-ground blooms that are combinations of pink, white, purple, and magenta. These plants can be grown in protected areas outside or indoors in a spot with plenty of light. We also grow these orchids in pots outside and store them in a garage or cool pantry over winter. For more information, check out our Pleione blog.
Our Pleione orchids are shipping dormant and planted in the perfect pot, ready to bloom for you! Keep these orchids in a bright spot and watch these plants grow.

PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright, indirect light. Some direct light okay.
• Water: Keep the soil evenly moist while in leaf. During winter and while in bloom, keep soil dry.
• Considerations: This plant prefers a dry and cool winter. Cold temperatures help induce blooming. Use a weak solution of gentle orchid fertilizer throughout the growing season for the showiest springtime blooms.
