Pleiospilos nelii - Split Rock
Pleiospilos nelii, also known as “Split Rock”, is a stemless succulent with 2 to 4 opposite, almost hemispherical, gray-green leaves. Though it is a tiny plant, its unique look ensures it stands out – an incredible example of mimicry, it shows striking resemblance to the rocks it grows among in nature. When Pleiospilos nelii blooms, a leaf divides to reveal a gradually opening flower bud. Its flowers can be spectacular, usually resembling tiny daisies and appearing in a range of colors.
PLANT CARE
• Light: Bright diffused to direct light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Let soil completely dry between waterings
• Considerations: Water when leaves appear wrinkled or shrunken.
Use a well-draining cactus/succulent soil, and select a planter with drainage
