Raphidophora hayi Plaque
Raphidophora hayi is an unusual shingling aroid from tropical Asia with oval dark green foliage. Shingling is a growth habit in which a climbing plant's foliage lies flat against a tree, rather than fanning outwards. Our Raphidophora hayi Plaques are made using sphagnum moss and a sturdy cedar board. Fitted with a metal loop for easy hanging on the wall, these are beautiful pieces for a humid bathroom wall display - at least, for those of us lucky enough to have a window in our bathroom.
Raphidophoras thrive in bright indirect light. To water, simply soak your mount in a sink or basin until thoroughly saturated. Mist periodically. Includes detailed care instructions.
No two plants are alike, and the images are intended to show the variety in appearance.
Dimensions: 9.5” x 2.5”
This little plaque was a birthday gift from my husband. It was not the only plant in the order but was the one I was definitely waiting for. It arrived so nicely, safely packed. It handled the journey quite well. All the plants (staghorn fern and heart fern)arrived in perfect condition! I have let them rest for a week without replanting and they are doing splendid. The plaque was on a board and ready to hang right away so I did. Thank you Pistils!
