Rebutia krainziana - Fractal Cactus
Rebutia krainziana is a globular clumping cactus with beautifully arranged white spines. The cactus will eventually grow offsets (technically branches) with their own gorgeous display of spines. The way these spines grow create a geometic pattern that led to its nickname "Fractal Cactus." A summer-growing species, this plant needs a dry winter rest and regular water during the warmer months. The plant's flowers are most often blood orange, but specimens could produce red, white, pink, or yellow flowers.
• Light: Bright diffused to direct light
• Water: Drought tolerant. Let soil completely dry between waterings. Keep dry in the winter.
• Considerations: Use a well-draining cactus/succulent soil, and select a planter with drainage.
