Mediocalcar decoratum - Candy Corn Orchid

Mediocalcar decoratum is a mat-forming miniature orchid that looks more like a jungle cactus than a standard Phalaenopsis. Its thick pseudobulbs and creeping rhizomes are adorable, but the candy-corn-colored blooms are stunning. The flowers look like bright balloons that punctuate the spreading orchid.

PLANT CARE

• Light: Medium-to-bright, indirect light.
• Water: Prefers frequent waterings. Water when moss feels almost dry to the touch. Soak or heavily mist the mount with room-temperature water.
• Considerations: This plant prefers never to dry out completely and appreciates high humidity.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each mount measures approximately 7"x3.5" with a wire hook for hanging. No two pieces are alike, and yours will have its own unique shape, size and personality - expect this natural variation from the photos. Pictures show example of blooms, but not all specimens will have blooms or buds.
